Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Skyhook, you will play a key role as we continue to build out our Sales and Marketing team to support our fast-growing business. Your primary focus is to drive outbound prospecting efforts to identify net new accounts, opportunities, and revenue in the mobile apps space.

You will spend 40% of your time working closely with the Marketing team to support demand generation campaigns, follow-up leads from tradeshows and events, and manage the inbound marketing lead flow in the Apps segment, qualify buying interest, and cultivating opportunities.The other 60% of your time, will be spent with Skyhook’s Sales team to support prospecting activities for priority accounts to secure a sufficient flow of qualified opportunities, meetings and calls.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter with high-energy, a positive phone presence, and a track record of effective, credible lead follow-up and sales development at multiple levels within an organization.

job responsibilities:

      • Outbound phone, email and social media prospecting to book appointments for the Skyhook Sales team.
      • Research prospects prior to prospecting to understand needs and generate interest in Skyhook.
      • Track and forecast all sales activities using Salesforce.com.
      • Follow-up leads from all outbound marketing campaigns including tradeshows, webinars and paid campaigns.
      • Meet or exceed activity metrics for outbound calls, emails, appointments set, and opportunities created.
      • Keep abreast of new product features, customer success stories.

qualifications:

        • Bachelor's Degree.
        • 1 - 3 years’ inside sales or BDR experience in software, mobile apps/technology, a plus.
        • A desire to work in startup environment with the goal of advancing your career in sales.
        • Successful track record cultivating leads and generating new opportunities through outbound prospecting.
        • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
        • Ability to lead conversations and execute a thorough discovery process.
        • Ability to manage all activity in Salesforce.com.
        • Self-starter with excellent solution selling skills and willingness to learn is a must.
