TUGG Tech Gives Back
Date: September 17, 2015
Location: Greater Boston Area
Why Participate: For one day in September, over 1,500 of Boston tech scene’s best and brightest get out of the office and into the community to give back to local nonprofits. Teams both small and large as well as individuals donate their time across over 50 volunteer sites, giving over 7,500 hours of volunteer service in one day.
Following the day of service, TUGGers celebrate the community at an epic after party at Center Plaza in Government Center including great food, drink, live music from Music & Youth, and support for six innovative TUGG portfolio nonprofits serving under resourced local youth. Crowdsourced philanthropy is the heart of TUGG. Based on the community's votes, at the afterparty they will grant over $100k in funding.
They have curated over 50 impactful projects serving nonprofits throughout the Boston area, ranging from manual labor, to remodeling and organizational help, to skill based projects.
Below is a sampling of the type of volunteer roles available:
